My first visit in Montenegro 2010

Now i have time to write about my visit in Montenegro. I am beginning with my ride 2010.

For this trip i take the AT RD07, from Austria i drove small roads to Kroatia and the first stop was at the Plitvicer Jezera



a must see when you come along this place



a small road with less traffic bring me down to sealevel in Karlobag und along the coast to Starigrad Paklenica
to the campground nearby the sea

Mostar - Nevesinje - Gacko - Cemerno - Foca the next Places

it was really hot and lot of traffic in Mostar so i dont stop

i came in to Montenegro over Scepan Polje along the Piva Lake - Pluzine - Pivski Manastir - Savnik - Zabljak - Tara valley - Dobrilovina

for one night in a rebuildet Motel, i sleep in a small wooden hut in the backyard, good meal and friendly people there.

from the Tara River Valley - Mojkovac - Berane - Andrijevica - Gusinje - Andrijevica - Kolasin - Podgorica - Cetinje

a nice road to Berane no traffic

the road from Kolasin to Podgorica lot of truck traffic, very slippery asphalt, and no good place to stop in the gorge but amazing views



i need one and half hour to go trough Podgorica, there were many diversions on road left - right - back - and round but then i was on the right road to Cetinje

one night in a privat pension in Cetinje the next day a winding road in to the Lovcen nationalpark to the Njegos Mausoleum.

462 stairs to the top of Mountain Jezerski Vrh



i was to early in the morning and the mausoleum was closed so i wait 30 minutes for opening





the statues are huge and i am wondering how they can bring it on the small road to the top



from the mausoleum i drove down a small road and then the old road with deep views to Kotor





i took the new road from Risan to Grahovo

i stay overnight in Pluzine in Restaurant Zvono, top Bar and very good meal



from Pluzine i drove Scepan Polje to Bosnia again, i visit the Memorial center in Potocari fom there to Kroatia - Slovenia to my Hometown in Austria.

the last one hundred Km in heavy rain



This was a short description from my first ride in Montenegro and i know i must come back .
