Comming to Montenegro -What route should we not miss???

Post by RTWbyBIKE »

Hello everybody,

can´t find the English Thread anymore, as soon as I registered all topics are gone? So I try it here. We are a couple from Germany and are travelling for quite a while now, just finished a two years tour (details at http://www.RTWbyBIKE.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; if sbdy likes).

So now we are planning to go next week to Montenegro and take a look at this nice country. We are on an Transalp (97) and an Africa Twin (93), have out tent and cooker always with us and wont stay long houres at any beach, better to ride around and take a look.

So, what routes you would suggest? We will start in Vienna and make our way somehow to Montenegro and then who knows...

Cheers! Have a safe ride everyone!

Dear bikers,

you can make nice trip in just two or three days if you go from Podgorica to Kolasin and visit Biogradska gora and Biogradsko lake which is national park and great place to visit (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biogradska_Gora" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

On the same road you continue to Mojkovac and right before Mojkovac you turn to Zabljak where you can visit black lake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Lake_(Montenegro" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)).From there you can go another way to Podgorica via Savnik and Niksic.

From Niksic you have road to coast with road Grahovo to Risan and come to great sea places such as Risan and Kotor bay (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bay_of_Kotor" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

From Kotor to Budva then to Petrovac,Bar and Ulcinj which have 14km of sandy beach,you can pass in one day and get back to Podgorica.

P.S. In case you are in Podgorica and you need anything my number is 0038267548000 Marko,me and my wife will help you with anything since we also travel together!

You can find description of nice places on this forum. My recommendations:

http://www.nolimitbikers.com/forum/view ... =16&t=4127" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.nolimitbikers.com/forum/view ... =16&t=3766" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Some roads are very demanding, but you can always (almost) find easiest way.
Have fun.
