No need to change anything. Beautiful scenery, nice roads. The part from Cetinje to Kotor is a bit 'edgy', but it's worth it.
If you want a shorter route, go from Podgorica directly to Niksic (you-ll come to the same border crossing as you would with the route you suggested).
Be cautious about the traffic police, both in Montenegro and in Bosnia - wherever you see a speed limit lower or equal to 60, expect them in the bushes or around the long bends ;)

I agree...

Also to add that in Montenegro besides regular police (mostly stationary) there are state troopers which are cruising the roads for traffic violators (they drive unmarked VW Pasats and Mercedes Benz A and B class)...
If they are behind you, you can see them in the mirror (2 guys and lot of equipment on passenger side :))

Mainly you can encounter them on the road Podgorica-Cetinje; Podgorica-Bar; Podgorica-Niksic; Podgorica-Kolasin...
Depending on when will you be riding, road Kolasin-Podgorica and Podgorica-Cetinje-Budva have motorcycle units (Honda's out of cities and MAXI scooter in them)...

Regular police drives VW Golf MK4 and MK5 (blue) and Mercedes Benz A class (white). But you can spot them as they are fully marked.

Anyway, the important part is that you have choosen very nice route, and to enjoy yourself... I do not want to scare you, I just put all the possible options you might encounter :)
Also, most of the drivers coming your way will flash the lights as a warning that ahead of you there is patrol so that is a relief!

And one more thing, in MNE if you ride up to 10 over limit, rarely will any patrol bother to stop you

P.S. If you do not know, it is mandatory to have lights turn on (bikes and cars) all the time in MNE :)

Feel free to ask if you need some more details :)

basically anywhere...
they switch places, but some are common, so if you post full rout through MNE maybe we could point some of those places for you...

also, they just love to play 'hide and seek' behind some bush with radar gun :)

We plan to enter Montenegro from Sarajevo direction Pluzine, then to Zabljak and head to tara canyon and across to Berane and Rozaje

I will post the ones I know about :)

Firs abound my hometown Mojkovac
Road to Bijelo Polje/Berane
http://pininthemap.com/pp72dd5bda243ac41a5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (when you pass by town, few km up the hill - usually in the bushes on the right (you can see them when exiting left corner - too late :))
http://pininthemap.com/pp6f1458a5d04ee2144" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; near school in place Lepenac 0.5km after you pass restaurant Lepenac on your left side
http://pininthemap.com/pp3b3f52b2f3b572391" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; fater curver strech usualy hiding within one fence... (on the left curve there will be a house with HUGE satellite dish... well after that )

When going close to Mojkovac from Zabljak, and you come to place POLJA (valley) 5-10km before town - they can be anywhere so be careful and obey speed limit

Road to Kolasin/Podgorica
http://pininthemap.com/pp0af7cdddf6a3f8e4f" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; when you exit town some 1-2km after last houses
http://pininthemap.com/ppf3ffa1ad724717022" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; near turning point for Biogradsko lake
http://pininthemap.com/ppa27ffa1b32c90d779" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; after one big double turn (left/right) 1km down the raoad on the left (hiding)
http://pininthemap.com/ppb10f80c0a42ee4ff8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; kolasin - when you exiting the tunel, right after gas station LUK OIL, or fef km dow the road near restaurand DJEVOJACKI MOST

I will later put info afetr Kolasin for the known places :)

You are welcome - we do not have fixed speed-cams on which navigation might warn you, so this is something :)

Also, sometimes you might see sign RADARSKA KONTROLA (like this blue one http://www.bljesak.net/web/tmb/bigger.a ... 889ecdd677" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) meaning possible Radar control ahead

Now more of them:

Kolasin - Podgorica (this road can have motorcycle patrol - usually on nice weather)

http://pininthemap.com/ppebcca118c6d0a07ee" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; First patrol is at gas station EKO PETROL (before of after depends) Second is whne you start going up hill Crkvine - you have left curve over bridge, then tunnel... after the tunel on the left there is possibility of patrol
http://pininthemap.com/pp9e00455b7c542ae25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This one is near Monastery Moraca (also 2 options, prior monastery, or after it on parking)
http://pininthemap.com/ppa3f8a00122d60c1a3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Place called MEDJURECJE - you haf few nice stretches here (unusually 'long' comparing to the rest of the road) , but also they like to 'fish' four speed limit violators as part of the road has 60km/h limit

After that you are 'peaceful' from stationary apartrols for a while, but there can be state troopers patrolling.

Then near Podgorica
http://pininthemap.com/ppbc7dc664b7ec8e5c0/link" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; this one is tricky - near BIOCE you have a long stretch with 60km/h limit and at the end left curve... they hide in the bushes and there is no way to see them until you are already toasted :)
http://pininthemap.com/pp254fa4ccac782e5c7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Near crossroad to MATASEVO you can have state troopers on the side of the road 'fishing' :) - be careful with this one as speed limit discends to 40 km/h and less then 1km ahead you have school - so DO NOT go more then 45 here TOP...
http://pininthemap.com/pp23a014053bc05414a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; next one is just ahead previous one, near gas station (usually prior it) BENZ PETROL

after that next should be on entrance to Podgorica, but thru city they can be anywhere... sometimes on bike or even without car or in civil car.

I will continue later with other directions from Podgorica :)

Dave, since you are not in a hurry, you may want to take this route from Zabljak to Berane/Rozaje: http://goo.gl/maps/rRV5n" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Nice road, nice landscape and you still get to see enough of Tara canyon.
